my heart will sing, song after song

I'm feeling doubtful of myself because my first attempt to make a mini-inspiration board doesn't seem to match up with my expectations of what a good board is supposed to look like. It's inspiring to find examples of gorgeous work to inspire me but I get stressed out when the quality of work I produce isn't on par with their works. Is that weird?

Cause I've also browsed through a whole lot of really horrible digital boards as well and they trick is knowing how to layer and arrange the entire thing so it looks harmonic. I mean I can stick pictures side by side, one next to the other, but the tricky part is where to position them.

this is the trick, mixing fabrics et textures to overlap
plus image arrangement & execution

Some i've seen have images with color tones that don't even match with the whole look or theme. Or maybe i'm just over-thinking as usual.

I want to have an inspiration booklet as well as pieces of artwork in single sheets of paper for my portfolio. I'm also collecting pretty adverts from my old magazines and I think I'm going to have "THE BOOK" of my own by transforming an old clear folder of mine. I really want a cork board that I can play around with to mix different textures and fabrics that cannot be merely "glued" on.

wanted!: tulle

the look: soft layers of tulle that fall above the knee. inspired by: softness & ballet.. not tiers and tiers of ruffles/prom.

Worn: preferably with heels, unless you're tall and lanky, slim and oh, you have superslim thighs.

step it up. !!!!

It's really depressing. Not only is the fashion industry shit-ass stressful and fast paced, now im also getting pawned by little kids.

Tuuli of fallie and I share common interests. Maybe not exactly the same, but similar in many, many ways. Decadance, innocence, style, inspiration and such..

Only difference is.., she's 12.

art opening ( women )

and she draws!

Love her style, love her artwork and I love her styling -----
please don't get me started on her choices of wonderfully inspiring images on her blog. love, love, love.
But sometimes IDK if I should be glad to have found such beauty in discovering pretty things or not. Wonderful, but at the same time, pretty depressing. Especially when a 12 year old has got a head start on the things you like.

Three words: pawned for good.

tough meets soft

ALL THINGS LACE-Y

ADDITIONAL INSPIRATION

HAIR & MAKEUP
STYLE 1

pair dark eyes with coiffed hair for a sleek, dramatic feel

STYLE 2

look effortless with tousled hair. brush hair and then mess it up. finish off by lining inner lids with a hint of silver to sparkle.

STYLE 3

makeup, hair

Channel Arnsdorf Spring 2010 by going au-naturel with the hair. rub in some conditioner, tousle it and leave to dry.side-parting optional. no makeup necessary but keep it nude and matte if must.

SEEN AROUND THE CORNER
to style this look, take down the drama by a notch, opt for either style 2 or 3 for makeup and hair reference. style 1 works if you're taking you look to the office, but style 2 and 3 works all day, all night.

some inspiration from real girls.
SIMPLY CLASSY

this style can also tend to be girly, depending on how you style it. a floral dress adds instant charm to the whole outfit.
SWEET & SASSY

for more rockability, incorporate one statement piece into your outfit. big, bold rings, boots, anything studded will also work.
ROCKNROLLA

tough meets soft. strong, but delicate. fashion has met its match.
