A gentle little breeze blew against my face-it was like someone pitying me. Tears rolled out of my eyes.
-I Capture the Castle-
Almost done with the book. This sentence reminded me how much I loved it when a cool breeze blows against my face when I cry, it seemed as if it understood me and cared for me more than anyone else I know could, which is pretty ironic.

things i thought
I was on the morning bus to uni today when I had a few thoughts of my own
Marketing authors often tell their us(readers) to improve on customer satisfaction because we of the ability to capture value and long-term profits out of them. However, I think differently. I think that we should treat all customers nicely not because i want to steal something from them, but merely because we're humans, and that humans have the inner desire to be treated special, set apart.
Don't you think so? That if we can change our mindsets to tell people that we're only being nice to others because we have something we want to rip off them, but instead, to treat people just the way we want to be treated.
“I am not a yard of ribbon. I am not a leg of ham. I am not for sale to anyone.”

books
"Book collecting is an obsession, an occupation, a disease, an addiction, a fascination, an absurdity, a fate. It is not a hobby. Those who do it must do it. Those who do not do it, think of it as a cousin of stamp collecting, a sister of the trophy cabinet, bastard of a sound bank account and a weak mind."
— Jeanette Winterson
omg, and here i was worrying the other day that i might go crazy and what would become of me if i found out one day that i'd have no more books i wished or am interested in reading. I guess I'm obsessed then. I feel comforted when I have books around me.

Dear lost one,
I made a diorama of our hearts today. They're intricately folded together into all sorts of patterns. Your heart looks a bit like the moon, one side of it is all darkness while the other side looks like white milk tears that drip from the sky. Mine is covered in stitches, it's mended nicely but it's not so beautiful as yours. I'm so scared. For if your heart is the moon then you will begin to drift farther and farther into space, an inch every year. And I'll be moonsick. My stitches will become unstitched and all of my stuffing will spill out until my heart is a little porcelain shell left stranded by the seaside. It'll lay there in the sand underneath your fading luminescence, sinking deeper and deeper until the intricate folds that bind us together will loosen completely.
P.S. Please do not forget your little broken shell that sleeps beneath the tides as you glimmer in another region of the universe.

"The tragedy of Melusina, whatever language tells it, whatever tune it sings, is that a man will always promise more than he can do to a woman he cannot understand."
"In the darkness of the forest, he saw her, and whispered her name, Melusina, and at that summoning, she rose out of the water and he saw that she was a woman of cool and complete beauty to the waist, and below that she was scaled, like a fish. She promised him that she would come to him and be his wife, she promised him that she would make him as happy as a mortal woman can, she promised him that she would curb her wild side, her tidal nature, that she would be an ordinary wife to him, a wife that he can be proud of; if he in return would let her have a time when she could be herself again, when she could return to her element of water, when she could wash away the drudgery of a woman's lot and be, for just a little while, a water goddess once more. She knew that being a mortal woman is hard on the heart, hard on the feet. She knew that she would need to be alone in the water, under the water, the ripples reflected on her scaly tail now and then. He promised her that he would give her everything, everything she wanted, as men in love always do. And she trusted him despite herself, as women in love always do."

of the great constellations
"I had a dream last Monday night. We were sailing and we sailed off the lake and into the sky and there were clouds and stars and I showed you the constellations. We sailed between the stars along the outlines of the constellations. It was a good dream."

tainted love
Just today, one of my friends whom I met online from a dance game got back together with her ex. I was quite taken aback because the guy whom she's with is such a jerk to her. He bitched, well i would call it bitch about her on her wall on facebook. That's like defaming and it not even at the person's back. And then I pondered, what exactly is love? Could you love someone who would hurt you? Why would one go after someone else who would do such things?
If he were to do that today, what more would he be in control of when you finally lay down your commitments to each other? I'm not the kind of girl who would appreciate being controlled by someone else, more so if I have a partner. As much as I love the metaphor of "Where the wind blows, she will not return again, I'm not this plant in the fields that sways wherever the wind goes. I like doing what I want when I want to. Yep, even if it means that I'm a little out of place. Of course those who already know me personally know that I am. weird. you know, airheadness sort of weird. Yup. I am the wind, not the plant.

Gummy - There is No Love
The last song really kill it doesn't it :x
It would be easier to just keep believing that you would not fall in love. Until it finds you. My method is easy, get up everyday, if you think about that guy, just keep lying in bed and keep telling yourself that you don't want to fall. Tell yourself you don't need that extra trouble. And keep telling yourself that they're bound to disappoint you somehow or rather, everyone does. So there, mantra, mantra, mantra for you. Et voila, you feel better.
Please excuse me, I never said I never believed in love. I said its better to not fall in love because its utterly troublesome. In this generation, what is love anyway? A few laughs, months of make-out sessions, sex and and empty promises? If that is love, then no, I don't believe in it. I believe in old school love, the ones more magical than any fairytale could depict. I'm not settling for just any kind of love, but that. And apparently, you don't find that sort of love around the corner anymore.
Ok, enough crapping, I just had some nonsense to get out of my system. Flushed!
"I disregard the proportions, the measures, the tempo of the ordinary world. I refuse to live in the ordinary world as ordinary women. To enter ordinary relationships. I want ecstasy. I am a neurotic — in the sense that I live in my world. I will not adjust myself to the world. I am adjusted to myself."

Passion. (with Teeny Bits of Love)
-Ice T, The Ice Opinion
I remember when I was young(and still up to today) and people would frequently bombard this one question at me, and i remember how difficult it was for me to answer this one very simple question:
"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
i remembered always loving to debate so much, so my cousins would ask me to be a lawyer. and then in high school, i remembered reading this article on being a label executive. towards the end of high school i wanted to venture into events. and now i want to style :)
VMD? Stylist? Personal Shopper? Buyer? :D
